Our Mandate

The BFDA’s mission is to regulate and oversee the safety of consumer products that have a direct impact on public health. Our core responsibilities include the regulation of:

• Food Products: We work to ensure that all food products—whether locally produced or imported—are safe for consumption and free from harmful additives, contaminants, and unsafe manufacturing practices. This includes rigorous inspections, testing, and monitoring of food safety standards.

• Pharmaceuticals: Our regulatory oversight extends to pharmaceutical products, ensuring they are not only effective but also safe for the public. We monitor drug manufacturing, distribution, and sales processes to protect consumers from counterfeit, substandard, or harmful medicines.

• Medical Devices: From diagnostic tools to life-saving equipment, we regulate the medical devices industry to ensure that these essential products meet safety standards and perform as intended. This regulation helps prevent the risks posed by defective or faulty medical equipment

• Cosmetics: The BFDA also ensures that cosmetic products available to the public meet safety guidelines, free from harmful chemicals or contaminants that could affect consumer health. We focus on ensuring these products are properly labeled and safe for use.

• Other Health Products: Our regulatory purview extends beyond the categories mentioned above, covering a range of consumer health products to protect the public from health risks associated with improperly regulated goods.

• Products Registration Terms and conditions; BFDA Do not permit the local Importer to Interfere on the Foreign company Product registraton Certificate. The Products registration Certificate is only done direct with the manufacture or supplier Company who can give much vital information about their products.

  Also as manufacturer or supplier whose products are tested directly by global independent public health standards laboratories in their country as a guarantee that your product ingredients are pure without containing any additives or illegal substances. Also to prove to BFDA that the product is 100% legal safe and suitable for human health.
